No. The login link created is unique to each registered person. For every delegate only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual meeting.
The virtual meeting platform is accessible via any device that can connect to the internet via an internet browser; this could be your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. We recommend joining by using a desktop computer.
You need an active internet connection. The FFN 2021 Virtual Congress requires that you are online and logged in to view content.
Most up to date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops and handheld tablets are capable of running the virtual event for you. We suggest to use your computer or laptop.
The FFN 2021 Virtual Congress is hosted entirely online. It will allow attendees to access an outstanding programme which is designed to present current best practices in multiple health disciplines from around the globe in Perioperative Care, Secondary Fracture Prevention, Rehabilitation, Changing Health Policy Plenary Sessions as per the FFN’s organizational mandate.
The platform will be accessible from 27th September. You will have enough time to get comfortable with the platform and discover the functions before the virtual meeting starts.
The session recordings will be available on demand after the virtual meeting, in the meeting platform.
Yes! By registering for the FFN 2021 Virtual Congress you will also have access to the Pre-Congress Regional Meetings and the various workshops. Similar to if you were attending the congress in-person, you will have the opportunity to select which sessions you would like to attend virtually.
We encourage you to ask questions at any time using the chat function. Questions are submitted to the chairs and moderators of the session and will be reviewed and placed into the queue for the Q&A sessions at the end.
Most of the sessions are pre-recorded. The introduction will be live by the chairs and at the end will be a live Q&A. Some of the workshops will completely be pre-recorded incl. introduction and panel discussion.
Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition where you can get in touch with the Sponsors and Exhibitors.
Within the virtual meeting platform, there is a “Technical Support” in the right hand corner that will connect you with a live person to troubleshoot any technical issues.
The 9th FFN virtual Global Congress has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 8 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
The virtual congress platform can be accessed via any device that can connect to the internet via an internet browser. This can be your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. We recommend using a desktop computer or laptop, as some smartphones or tablets might have display problems.
We recommend installing, setting up, and testing the Zoom-provided app on your computer in advance of attending the conference to avoid any delays.

If you are unable or not allowed to install the Zoom app on your computer, you can also participate via web browser instead. Suitable web browsers for this are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Chromium Edge in their latest versions.

The conference platform is designed to be easily accessible for all participants. To access the platform, all you need is a device with audio capability (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone) and a stable internet connection.

Yes, the conference platform is mobile-ready and is automatically formatted for playback on most mobile devices. Simply log in on your mobile device. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every mobile device as operating system requirements often vary.
During the virtual conference you can enter the various live sessions by clicking on the links included in the program overview which is shown on the first page of the Online Conference Platform.
There are three session formats:
- Live Streams (live broadcast directly on the OCP, no Zoom) – microphone and camera of the attendees can not be activated, you can post your questions via the Q&A function (preferred) or chat function.
- Zoom Webinars (Reciprocal Symposia, Workshops) – microphone and video of the attendees are turned off and can not be activated, you can post your questions via the Q&A function (preferred) or chat function. When entering the session before the offcial starting time you will see a window showing the name, date and time of the upcoming session. The session will be opened automatically, just in time.
- Zoom Meetings (SIG Meetings) – before the session start you get access to a waiting lobby. Access to the meeting will be granted just in time when the session starts. The attendees can activate camera and sound on their own. Please only activate your microphone when you are speaking.
In principle, it is important for all ZOOM events (for identification) that the participants register with their first and last name. This is best done during the dial-in process (right-click on your name and then select “Rename”).
